Setting Up Manufacturers & Vendors

In FitUp, our Product pages record the Manufacturers and Vendors. These types of companies are managed under Organizations. So you will need to create a new Organization for each Manufacturer & Vendor.
Notes
When uploading products, new Manufacturers & Vendors in the spreadsheet are added automatically in the import process, if they are new to the project.

To add new Manufacturers or Vendors to the project, follow the below steps:

1. From the FreightTrain landing page, click on the Module drop-down menu near the top of the page. Then click on Administration.




2. Under the General heading, click on the User & Organization Management link.




3. Click on the New Organization button.




a. Enter the name of the Manufacturer/Vendor.
b. Ensure that the Is Active box is checked.
c. Select either Manufacturer or Vendor, which ever is appropriate





When you have finished entering information for the organization, click on the Save and Close button to return to the organization list.
