Does your Project have multiple phases? Check out this article for tips on setting your project up in FitUp.
Is your project so large it is being completed in multiple phases? Or is your project utilizing phases for other reasons? This article will help you set up your FitUp project utilizing a feature that will let you keep all your phases in one place.

The project must have distinguishable phases to use in creating the project. It is best if the project has each level as a different phase, but we can use departments or other outlines in the project as well.
The Location Template
The first step is to set up your Location Import Template to support the different phases. We will be setting up each phase as a Building in FitUp. Since our Visual Fragnets are Building & Level based, it is best to set up the project with this in mind.
Example 1:
Let's say you have a project with 3 phases. Each phase is based on the levels in the project, such as Phase 1 = Level 1, Phase 2 = Level 2 & 3, Phase 3 = Level 4 & Roof.
In this example we will set up 3 buildings each containing only the levels & rooms that pertain to the phase.

The key is to make sure all the rooms are placed on the right Phase/Building in the template.
Below is how we would set up this example Location Import Template.
Example 2:
Let's say you have a project with 3 phases. Each phase is based on the departments in the project, such as Phase 1 = Emergency, Phase 2 = ICU & Admin, Phase 3 = Dialysis & ECHO.
In this example we will set up 3 buildings each containing only the level, department & rooms that pertain to the phase.

This will be a little different than Example 1, as each of those departments will be named with the level. The key is to make sure all the rooms & departments are placed on the right Phase/Building in the template.
Below is how we would set up this example Location Import Template.
